Hey guys, its Natasha again. Last week I made a cozy, comfort dish, mac and cheese. If you’re in search of an easy, homemade dish that will totally impress your friends and family, this mac n cheese dish will do the trick. Its perfect for thanksgiving or a potluck with the homies. Sure, it gets a little time consuming to grate cheese but it’s totally worth it. You can always switch up the cheese to your liking but the combo here is a killer.
What you do:
Boil a pot of water and cook macaroni al dente
Make your roux: Melt butter then whisk in flour and powdered mustard
Slowly stir in milk and keep stirring to thicken the roux for about 10 minutes.
Once the milk is thick, remove from stove and turn off the heart.
Add the shredded cheese with salt and pepper and keep stirring. (It will slowly but surely, turn into a pot of liquid gold)
Add the cooked macaroni to that cheesy goodness and enjoy!
What you need:
Salt and Pepper
Pound of elbow macaroni
Fontina shredded (3 cups)
Gruyere shredded (3 cups )
1 stick of butter
1 quart of milk
½ cup of whole purpose flour
Powder mustard spice
Dried thyme for garnish
