Like I said in my previous post, I was sent the Beachwaver s1. I had been dying to try this iron because I had heard such good things about it! Here’s what I thought about it:

So, when I first got it, I was extremely scared to try it! I thought I was going to do it completely wrong and burn my hair off haha. Or, have one of these moments. Which I kind of did at the beginning, not gonna lie. So, just mentally prepare yourself for this self-winding thingamajig.

Anyways, I start off by sectioning my hair. You want the iron to curl outward for those loose waves. Again, it’s kind of confusing to tell which way is outward and sometimes you start and you’re like “OH NO WRONG WAY” and you have to start winding it the other way. It really took me like three tries to finally get it to actually do what I wanted to do. But, once it does, it is oh-so magical!

Last step was some finishing spray. This left it shiny and it made it last the whole day.

Would I recommend this product? YES. It gives me those beachy waves I just can’t achieve with a regular old wand. I’ve heard a flat iron is also great, but it’s SO hard and really damaging on your hair. My one complaint is that this product is sold as getting you beachy hair in 10 minutes or less which is definitely not the case. I get some amazing results, but definitely not in a shorter amount of time.

xo

I love self-wrapping wands! The only problem is my hair is so thin that it usually doesn’t work for me! This is a great review.

I just use a regular curling iron (without the clamp) to achieve beach waves. I’m all about streamlining my beauty tools!

That looks so awesome and the result is SO pretty! I wonder how it would look on my shorter hair!

I’ve never heard of this curler before, but it sounds awesome! The self-winding feature is amazing! I hate twirling my hair around my curling wand, I’m always so nervous I’ll burn myself.
