“Fall” in Miami.

In Miami, It really is hot all year round. So when it’s time to transition into fall, it’s more difficult for us. We could wear long sleeves and boots but we’d just go into cardiac arrest and die of a heat stroke. My best advice for us Miami-ans is to try to make a summery piece work for fall. Take this tropical print romper. Usually for the summer, you’d add a bright shoe & a lot of color. Just tone it down, add black sandals or boots and some cool silver jewlery and it’s instantly a chic & cool fall outfit.

Positively Radiant.

aveen15Clear skin is so important! It’s also very important to take care of your skin so I decided to share with you my beauty/cleansing routine. I usually do this routine before I go to bed every night, not in the morning, because I come home from work or wherever I’ve been and I feel like I need to wipe away all the debris from the day.aveeno9aveen2 aveeno1 First, I wipe away all my makeup using the Aveeno make-up remover wipes. Cleaning your eye make-up thoroughly is one of the most important parts. Going to sleep with eyeliner and mascara residue is bad for your hair follicles and can cause eyelash loss and you know how hard we girls work for full and long looking lashes! Plus, these wipes smell amazing so you’ll fall right to sleep with this delicious scent.aveeno8aveeno14aveeno3Next, I wash my face with the daily brightening cleansing wash. This helps brighten your skin and even tone. I make sure to wash my face very well, including my neck, and even let it sit on my face for a few seconds. Then, of course, rinse! The scrub is also great but since I had a tan (haha) i didn’t want to scrub my hard-worked color away! My favorite part about this collection is that these pieces have that “bronzer glitter” that leaves you with a natural glow.aveeno10

aveeno4 Next, I apply the tone corrector to my desired spots. I mostly need it on my chin and nose because I have pimple scars and freckles. Just apply a small amount to where you need even your skin tone and get rid of dark spots.aveeno6aveeno5 aveeno7 Lastly, I moisturize. I only recommend this for people who have dry skin. Washing my face dries my skin immensely so I ALWAYS have to moisturize after. If you have oily skin, you shouldn’t need to use a moisturizer. This is a great daily moisturizer though because it has SPF and adds that bronzer glow.aveeno11 aveeno13Another of my two favorite products are the body wash and lotion. They smell delicious and leave your skin silky smooth.

All these products are available at your local drugstores or super markets. Trust me, you’ll love them and feel POSITIVELY RADIANT!

Strapless Jumpsuit with a Twist.

Like most girls are self conscious about their body, I am self conscious about being skinny. Some things just don’t fit me right because of my lack of curves. I usually NEVER wear strapless pieces because they really make me look extremely thin, which I hate. SO I always try and improvise because there’s always going to be those pieces you just have to have.

I absolutely love this jumpsuit from BLUSH. It is so comfortable, chic and it has pockets (which is always a plus.) Since it was strapless, I decided to add the mesh top to be able to cover up the area I don’t feel great about. I loved that you could still see the print through the top and it actually added a great touch. The jumpsuit was also very long (especially for a girl standing at a mere 5’2) so I tied it at the hem. This helped with my boho-arabian-vibe.

I’m glad I was able to wear this jumpsuit and reinvent the outfit into something that made me feel comfortable. So, don’t hesitate from trying something outside of your comfort zone but, when in doubt, change up the outfit until it suits you best!

MissGuided never fails to amaze me with their chic, trendy yet edgy pieces. I loved this romper because of the cut-outs and the fun, flowy feel. Since I don’t love being half naked, I decided to pair it with this Umgee vest which I absolutely love.

Vests are a must-have. They’re the perfect accessory to throw onto any outfit! They can also help you dress down or dress up; depending on the outfit.  They’re perfect for Miami because of our hot weather! It’s brutal here. So throwing on a vest is great for layering without having a heat stroke. 🙂

So Long Sweet Summer.

Summer is coming to an end and the bright colors and fun outfits do too. This may be my last summery outfit post because I am ready for fall! Even though it never gets cold here in Miami (boo), I transition my wardrobe with darker colors and different fabrics.

I am currently obsessed with oversized pearls. I found this amazing choker for a steal! ($5!!!!!) Unfortunately, it sold out pretty quickly. I found a similar one for you guys for just a little more expensive, but it’s definitely worth it! It’s an amazing statement piece that’ll take you through every season. Go for it. 🙂

Comfy but Chic.

As you all may know, I am the web director for ShopBlush.com. They are a chain of Miami based boutique that recently launched their online website and sometimes, I have the lucky chance to assist on the buying trips in LA.

When I explain to everyone my short one day trip to LA, they are always in shock. I usually leave a Tuesday night, arrive that same night and then leave the next night. Yes, I’m only there a mere 25 hours.

The day is spent running around visiting different vendors and of course, In & Out. After a long day of being in the beating sun and being left with swollen, pulsating feet, we head straight to the airport to catch the red-eye. This trip takes the life out of you and is not meant for the weak at heart but I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s fun, exciting and a great way to soak up the LA vibe for a bit. It’s also great seeing things that I’ve specifically chosen carried at Blush Boutique and seeing people love them…yes, I love my job.

Anyways, back to my outfit. I wanted something comfy but still chic. This dress is kind of long and frumpy (I’m used to this since I’m so petite) so adding a denim shirt tied around the waist was the perfect touch! A cool belt, maybe a chain belt, could also totally work to help spice up a little dress like this. Not to mention the birks; you can’t travel to LA and not wear birks. 😉
