This past Friday I had the awesome opportunity to host another Fashion Happy Hour. This one was a little different. Instead of local vendors selling their clothing, bloggers got together and sold items from their closet for charity. We raised over $1,000 for Style Saves. Style Saves raises funds through fashion focused events in order to provide underprivileged students with clothing, shoes, and accessories. I also donated everything I didn’t sell to Style Saves. I was so excited to be able to be a part of such an amazing event!

I wore this outfit to the event. I lucky enough to be a brand ambassador for Umgee! They NEVER disappoint. 🙂 Love the colors, print and flowy feel. The shorts also went perfectly paired with my new MissGuided booties. You HAVE to go check out their new shoe collection. It’s affordable and oh so chic. Stay tuned because there’s more goodies from their shoeseum!

In Miami, you have to get used to the rainy days. These past few weeks have been dreadful! With the weather being so bipolar, I decided to make things easier. First off, jelly shoes are always a must! When it’s raining and your feel get a little damp, they dry super quickly! You also don’t have to worry about the shoes staying wet.

Another thing to help those gloomy, rainy days is color! And lots of it. As you can see, I decided to add a lot of color and mix it around as well. Don’t be afraid to over do it. It’s fun to be bright especially when you have to be making up for the usual Miami sun.

MFW: Day 2.

My theme for MFW seemed to have been open-back tops and florals.

For the runway shows, I was lucky enough to be seated front row. I got there right in time for the Peruvian showcase (reppin’ my country!) My favorite from this showcase were Chiara Macchiavello’s designs for Escudo. I loved the bohemian feel the pieces had and loved all the intricate detailing. Oh, and crops, my fave! Not to mention, how bad-ass were those sunglasses?! Chiara, feel free to send me a pair. 🙂

My other favorite was lingerie and swimwear designer, Andres Sarda. He had the sexiest and most beautiful pieces. I would rock these all day, everyday, if I could. Also, wouldn’t mind getting married in the bridal inspired lingerie piece. FIERCE.

P.S. Sorry for the blurry pics taken from my iPhone. Check out my Facebook later during the week for full albums (with better quality pics) of all the runway shows I attended.

Miami Fashion Week Kick-off Party.

I was lucky enough to be invited to Miami Fashion Week this past weekend and it was such a blast! On Wednesday night was the official kick-off party at the Eden Roc in Miami Beach. There was amazing music, delicious food and the most fabulous of people. I got to mingle with some other local bloggers and networked a bunch! Stay tuned for more exclusive pictures from the runway shows and after parties. Hope you enjoy, xo.

(P.S. I know I’ve already shot this top in green but it was so nice, I had to get it twice :p)

Currently: dreaming of a tropical vacation. In Miami, where it’s tropical all year round, it’s easy to dress up in island-like outfits. Plus with the heat, flowy, breathable pieces are a must. Don’t be afraid to wear a lot of color! Mixing colors is always fun and it spruces up any outfit. Buy your next pair of shoes in a bright pop of color and you’ll see how it easy it actually is to pair with things!

Hopefully, I’ll be posting pictures from an island far far away. xx

Simple & Chic: the Peplum Top.

Peplum tops are my absolute favorite especially since I’m a petite girl, I feel like it adds to some curves to my body. It also helps me dress up any outfit! Peplum tops are an essential in every girl’s wardrobe because they can be worn a million different ways. I also like to keep my outfit simple sometimes and the peplum top add a little ‘flare’ to any outfit. (see what I did there;))

I also was finally able to bring out my Chanel espadrilles again! So you know what that means…it’s starting to look a lot like summer.

I Dream Of Coachella.

With Coachella coming up in just a few weeks, I decided to put together a little festival outfit. Loving this outfit just made me more depressed about missing Coachella once again. How I would love to be jamming with Outkast, Lorde & Disclosure.

Bucket List: Go to Coachella.
