I LOVE mixing prints! Checkered prints are super in for fall so it’s always fun to mix to mix two different versions of a similar print. But don’t forget my advice, when mixing prints, always make sure one bring is smaller or bigger than the other. This stops you from looking like a crazy lady!

I’m a Working-Class Person Working with Class.

When I saw this top, I knew I had to have it! I am definitely a working-class person working with class. 😉 Graphic tees are so much and so easy to wear! They add a sort of edge to an outfit and can easily be dressed up or down. For example, pair this top with a mini skirt and some cool booties and you’re ready to take on the night! Find a cool graphic tee that describes you.

Little Lacey Things.

As I’ve said several times, transitioning into fall is almost impossible in Miami with this 90 degree weather. Little slip dresses like this make it seamless. Grab a light, flowy dress in a fall color, add some booties and you’ve got a chic fall look you won’t die of a heat stroke in.

90’s Inspired.

Crop tops and baby doll dresses with chokers and dark lipstick – 90’s are in. And, I love it! In this outfit, I felt like Sabrina the Teenage Witch. It’s easy to create fun and edgy outfits like these. Don’t be afraid to pair booties with any flowy dress! Plus, this amazing choker is a great way to top off any 90’s inspired outfit.

Strapless Jumpsuit with a Twist.

Like most girls are self conscious about their body, I am self conscious about being skinny. Some things just don’t fit me right because of my lack of curves. I usually NEVER wear strapless pieces because they really make me look extremely thin, which I hate. SO I always try and improvise because there’s always going to be those pieces you just have to have.

I absolutely love this jumpsuit from BLUSH. It is so comfortable, chic and it has pockets (which is always a plus.) Since it was strapless, I decided to add the mesh top to be able to cover up the area I don’t feel great about. I loved that you could still see the print through the top and it actually added a great touch. The jumpsuit was also very long (especially for a girl standing at a mere 5’2) so I tied it at the hem. This helped with my boho-arabian-vibe.

I’m glad I was able to wear this jumpsuit and reinvent the outfit into something that made me feel comfortable. So, don’t hesitate from trying something outside of your comfort zone but, when in doubt, change up the outfit until it suits you best!

Comfy but Chic.

As you all may know, I am the web director for ShopBlush.com. They are a chain of Miami based boutique that recently launched their online website and sometimes, I have the lucky chance to assist on the buying trips in LA.

When I explain to everyone my short one day trip to LA, they are always in shock. I usually leave a Tuesday night, arrive that same night and then leave the next night. Yes, I’m only there a mere 25 hours.

The day is spent running around visiting different vendors and of course, In & Out. After a long day of being in the beating sun and being left with swollen, pulsating feet, we head straight to the airport to catch the red-eye. This trip takes the life out of you and is not meant for the weak at heart but I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s fun, exciting and a great way to soak up the LA vibe for a bit. It’s also great seeing things that I’ve specifically chosen carried at Blush Boutique and seeing people love them…yes, I love my job.

Anyways, back to my outfit. I wanted something comfy but still chic. This dress is kind of long and frumpy (I’m used to this since I’m so petite) so adding a denim shirt tied around the waist was the perfect touch! A cool belt, maybe a chain belt, could also totally work to help spice up a little dress like this. Not to mention the birks; you can’t travel to LA and not wear birks. 😉

WET Swimwear – MBFW Swim.

I got the great opportunity to collab with WET Swimwear during Swim Week. They hosted an amazing pool party at the Delano to bring Swim Week to an end. Unfortunately, due to pure exhaustion, I was not able to make it to the pool party. Swim Week really takes the life out of you! All day events in the scorching heat, not to mention the heels, are killer. (Major #blogger probz.) Instead, I decided to shoot this adorable little number at the beach.

I absolutely LOVED this bathing suit. It gives you support as well as a little lift (for us flatter chested girls.) This bathing suit gave me confidence and it was super comfortable! I opted for a different bottom than the one displayed with the top to add a little edginess to the girly top. I love mixing and matching bathing suits so who knows what I’ll add next to this fun little number. 😉
